GARLIC & HERB BOURSIN – This soft and creamy spread has a light buttery flavor, and is infused with garlic and herbs. It’s delicious on top of crackers or baked baguette, making it a perfect addition to any charcuterie board.
Garlic & Herb Boursin has been a staple spread in my home for many years. I’ve served it at birthday parties, New Years Eve parties, game nights, girls nights, lazy Sundays, and days when we’re just in the mood for it.
It’s just been recently that I have found the recipe to make it myself. Before that I would look for it at the grocery store. I won’t be buying it at the store anymore! The homemade version is so much better than store bought. It’s really simple to make and more fresh and creamy.
What’s even better is that I can make the spread a day or two in advance. That’s really helpful if I’m putting together several elements for a gathering. I can even double the recipe and freeze half to use later. I’ll definitely be keeping that in mind during the holidays!
For the best Garlic & Herb Boursin, you’ll want to chill the spread in the fridge for at least an hour and possibly even over night. Then, let it rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to soften before serving. Serve it with your favorite crackers or baked baguette.
If you don’t have the time (or patience) to wait for it to chill, you really can serve it immediately after mixing it together. It will still be delicious, the flavors will just not be as rich.
