ALABAMA-STYLE WHITE BBQ SAUCE – It’s time to change up your BBQ routine with this quick and easy white sauce, made with ingredients so simple you probably already have everything you need right in your pantry.
If you haven’t tried white BBQ sauce, you’re missing out. Trust me when I tell you that once you taste it, you’ll be wanting to make it ALL THE TIME.
At first sight, it looks a bit like ranch dressing. But if you’re doing it right, it will be thicker than ranch with an added tang from the vinegar. To insure you get the right thickness and flavor, I recommend using high quality mayonnaise for this recipe.
White BBQ sauce originates from Decatur, Alabama, where Bob Gibson of Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q first came up with the mayonnaise and vinegar based sauce. Thank you, Bob.
This sauce is very versatile. You can serve it over grilled chicken, use it as a topper for burgers or pulled pork sandwiches, dip chicken wings in it, drizzle it over grilled or roasted veggies, and so much more.
Store Alabama-Style White BBQ Sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
