OATMEAL FUDGE BARS – These simple dessert bars feature rich and decadent fudge sandwiched between soft oatmeal layers. They’re easy to make and the flavor is anything but ordinary.
Oatmeal Fudge Bars are a frequently requested dessert in my home. Most recently, my daughter requested that I make these when she moved home after living away for several months.
They were first introduced to me by my good friend, Heather. We got our families together for a meal and she made these bars. I was instantly in love. They are so yummy!
I love making Oatmeal Fudge Bars for get togethers with friends and family. They’re perfect for BBQs and potlucks.
I usually cut the 9×13 pan into 24 bars. However, these bars are rich enough that you could reasonably cut the pan into 48 bars for bite-sized treats.

- Pour in the fudge and spread with spatula to even it out.
- Flatten chunks of the remaining 2 cups and arrange along the top of the fudge mixture until it is all used.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
- Cool at least 2-3 hours before cutting into.
