Hi everyone!
Would you believe me if I told you that I haven’t always been a confident cook? It’s true! As a young adult my cooking experience consisted of just a few recipes, chocolate cookies and quiche (of all things). My husband grew up cooking quite a bit and he did most of the cooking early on in our marriage.
My love of cooking began as a young stay-at-home mother. As time progressed, my interest in cooking and baking grew. I began spending more time in the kitchen learning. With a lot of practice, plenty of trial and error, and a collection of some really fantastic recipes, I now have more confidence in the kitchen. I’m still learning, and I still have epic fails. But if there’s one thing I want you to know is that if I can do it, so can you!
You might be wondering why I would want to write a food blog. First, it’s a really fun way to store and share recipes. I have two adult daughters that live away from home, and I want an easy way to share recipes with them. It’s also really convenient to have all my recipes in one place. Second, two things that I want to get better at are cooking and picture taking. A blog is a great motivation for me to keep learning, collecting great recipes, and growing my creativity.
I’m only going to share the best recipes with you. After all, this is ultimately my recipe collection. Every recipe I share has been tried, tasted (and tasted again) by me and my family. Food is a big deal in our home. It’s always the center of planning any event or holiday. In case you haven’t noticed, desserts are always my favorite to make. It gives the sweetest reward for your time in the kitchen!
Besides cooking and baking I love playing games with my family and friends, reading fantasy fiction books in bed, taking pictures of things that don’t move, and snuggling with my fur baby.
Thanks for checking out my blog!
