BEST AIR FRYER FRENCH FRIES – Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, these air fryer French fries are simple, addicting, and healthier than your local restaurant.
Best Air Fryer French Fries are quickly becoming a new favorite in my house. I have recently been on the lookout for a good fries recipe for my air fryer.
I finally landed on this one. The fries are so good that I had to fight my teenage son off just to get pictures!
The recipe calls for soaking the cut potatoes in water. Don’t skip this step! Soaking the fries in water removes the starch on the outside and allows the fries to crisp up better in the air fryer.
It’s best to air fry the fries in a single layer. This allows for them to cook evenly. It’s been my experience that each batch requires a little less time to fry, which is most likely specific to my air fryer. It may take a little trial and error to find the correct fry times for different fryers.
Here’s what you need to make Best Air Fryer French Fries…
- 3 medium sized russet potatoes, cut into 1/4-1/2 inch sticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, more to taste
- Pinch of pepper
