HOMEMADE HOT COCOA MIX – This quick and easy mix makes a creamy hot cocoa that incorporates real chocolate. Dairy free friends need not worry, this recipe is arguably even more delicious using dairy free ingredients!

Let me just start by admitting that I am a hot chocolate snob. I want my hot chocolate to be rich, creamy and made with milk. Those cheep packets that you mix with hot water are just not tempting to me.
I have already shared a Classic Hot Chocolate recipe that is fairly simple to make and it’s so delicious. However, sometimes I just want the convenience of a ready made mix.

Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix is just what I’ve been looking for. It takes minutes to make and packs all the delicious flavor I hope for in mug of hot chocolate.
What I especially love about this recipe is that it works well with a variety of different milks. I’ve tried it with cows milk, almond milk, and oat milk. All work great, and my favorite milk to use is extra creamy oat milk.

Another reason that I love this recipe is that it can be divided out to make great gifts. The mix can be divided into about four jars of 8 ounces each, or two jars or 16 ounces each. Store Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
