PEANUT BUTTER CUP POPCORN – This fun popcorn mix is made with mini pretzels and Reese’s Minis to deliver a beautiful balance of sweet and salty. It’s perfect for parties and game nights.
Here’s what you need
- Plain microwave popcorn
- Pretzels
- Peanut butter chips
- Reese’s Minis Unwrapped
- Chocolate melting wafers

In order to be able to spread the ingredients out evenly and fairly thin, I would recommend using (2) 1/2 sheet pan sized baking sheets (18inch x 13inch). Lining the baking sheets with parchment paper is optional, but it makes for a much easier clean up.
Making a popcorn mix is not an exact science. You can easily play around with the measurements and even change up the ingredients according to taste. For example, you can add more or less of the chocolate melting wafers, depending on your preference.
For my Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn, I used Skinny Pop Sea Salt Microwave Popcorn, Snyder’s Itty Bitty Minis Pretzels, Lily’s Peanut Butter Baking Chips, Reese’s Minis Unwrapped, and Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Flavored Melting Wafers.

Let’s get started
Start off by lining 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Then, microwave the popcorn according to package directions, remove all of the unpopped kernels, and spread the popcorn out over the baking sheets. Be careful not to burn the popcorn!
Next, you want to layer the pretzels, half of the peanut butter chips, and the Reese’s Minis over the top of the popcorn. Set the remaining peanut butter chips to the side.

After the first four ingredients are layered and ready, melt the chocolate melting wafers according to package directions, drizzle the chocolate over the ingredients, and sprinkle the remaining peanut butter chips over the chocolate before it begins to solidify.
Once the chocolate has solidified, it’s ready to serve. You can either serve up Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn as it is on the baking sheets, or you can break it into smaller chunks and serve it out of a large bowl with a scoop.

Tips & Tricks
For smaller crowds: This recipe makes a ton! If you’re serving a smaller crowd, I would recommend cutting the recipe in half.
Melting chocolate: Chocolate melting wafers are my go-to for any sort of chocolate dipping or drizzling. It melts easily, it solidifies quickly, and it doesn’t sweat like chocolate chips do.
Drizzling chocolate: I like to let the melted chocolate cool slightly. Then I pour it into the corner of a ziplock bag, twist the open end for a good grip, then cut a tiny bit off of the corner. The chocolate will begin to pour out as soon as you cut the corner, so be sure you’re ready to go before you do that.
