SPICED CITRUS CIDER – This classic aromatic beverage is crisp and tangy with a touch of citrus flavor. It’s the perfect treat for a chilly Autumn night.
Spiced Citrus Cider is one of those classic Fall recipes that I think everyone should have. It makes your house smell amazing while it’s cooking, and it just feels festive.
If you’re wanting to make it even more festive you can prepare a whole spread. I recommend serving it with orange slices, whipped cream, cinnamon sticks, and maybe even some cinnamon donuts.
Spiced Citrus Cider calls for apple cider or apple juice. I’ve made it both ways, and either work great. Have you ever wondered what the difference is?
Apple cider is minimally processed, is made from pressed fresh apples, and tends to be darker and more opaque. Apple juice is lighter in color and translucent, is sweetened, and generally contains preservatives.
Store leftovers in the fridge for about a week. Stir to redistribute anything that may have settled, and reheat over the stove or in the microwave.

I love this. I have not made it with vanilla before but have added a little bit of pineapple concentrate that adds a little twist to the taste. I’m definitely going to try it with the vanilla.

Oh, pineapple! That’s a great idea. The vanilla is a pretty subtle addition, but I think it’s good.
